Musings & Outbursts is the debut album from Standing in Coats, a band formed by myself and two other doctoral students at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Our eclectic style ranges from folk to pop and latin to rock. The songs from this album were written as early as 2002, but arranging and recording did not start till 2007. From 2007 till 2012 we wrote, arranged, recorded and mixed our album. The songs range from love ballads (This is Your Night), to social commentary (Bring You Home), even silly songs that just make you smile (Monkey King). We hope you enjoy!
