Description:
We are living in a world of increasingly numerous and specialized digital devices, many of which are expected to display similar information in dramatically different screen resolutions and contexts.

You will be given a new product interface assignment that will involve the display and interaction of information on a PC (either web- or client- based software) that has a component that displays on a full-color 320×240 QVGA screen. Understanding how to effectively design an interface for 2 different devices / platforms (and thus usage scenarios) is the focus of Project 3. This project will result in the following deliverables:

• Artifact Series 1: Audit of competition
  • Screen shots / presentation of existing “similar” products
  • Any and all reaction to issues surrounding existing interfaces
• Artifact Series 2: Usage Scenario Storyboards
  • Photo or Illustration based storyboards depicting the 2 different usage scenarios of the 2 interfaces
    (PC and Device)
• Artifact Series 3: User Interaction Workflow and UI Wireframes
  • Diagram UI Wireframes for 3-5 screens for both PC and Device
  • Diagram user workflow through basic interactions for both PC and Device
• Artifact Series 4: Bitmap Explorations
  • Prototype 3-5 options for visual interfaces for PC and Device interfaces
• UI Style Guide and Final Presentation
