The collection of music on this CD was highly eclectic – both in terms of musical stylings and lyrical content. Subsequently, the album was entitled “Musings and Outbursts.” I wanted to have a similar reflection in the design of the album art to reflect the soft and hard, calm and chaotic breadth of the music. To this end, the “cover” of the album was a cup of coffee with a cocktail napkin. This being a calm and relaxing image, was paired with a more chaotic typeface (Jellyka – Estrya’s Handwriting). The back was the exact opposite. A more chaotic image (scrap of torn paper on a scratched wooden background) with a more smooth and calming typeface (Bauhaus Std).
